Wigan is currently in League One now and hasn't competed


in the EPL since the 2012-2013 season. It looks like the Latics may be a club that alternates between the Championship and League One in the foreseeable future.

So while I do agree with you that Wigan is probably more like a AAA team, it wouldn't surprise me if the team has been gutted and a far cry from its last EPL team. If that is the case, then that may put Wigan on par with a AA team.
